I’ve been so lucky lately with my portrait sessions! A few weeks ago, I photographed a lovely girl and her pony and this past Sunday – A bride and a horse! I love how these turned out. Michelle and Casey were married a few weeks ago at the beautiful Daniel Stowe Gardens. Michelle mentioned she wanted to do her bridals post-wedding with a horse and I couldn’t have been more giddy at the idea. We weren’t worried about the dress or veil getting dirty or torn (which, did happen on the wedding day when a clumsy photographer stepped on the veil) ;( – just sayin’
What a fantastic wedding!
The day couldn’t have been more beautiful! Although, there were several times the wind made it seem that Leanne’s veil was attacking her – (it made for great photos) – we had no complaints.
After a first look on the South Terrace at Biltmore Estate, we relaxed and set out for an amazing portrait session. The wedding ceremony was performed by Chapman’s grandfather and was a very sentimental moment for the entire family.
I wish these two all the happiness in their future marriage. Congrats guys!!!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I’ve been traveling… I was actually in California last week visiting my sister, Jenny, and her gorgeous family. It was a quick trip, but, so worth it. We squeezed in so much in the few days I was visiting – the HIGHLIGHT hands down was our hike at Point Lobos outside of Big Sur. Wow! I just mean – wow. I cannot wait to go back with my whole family and take in so much more…
The water color was incredible!
Of course, we managed a few portraits of the kiddos… (seriously – 15 mins max!)
And, a picture of my us on my last night… good times! #sistersmaybe?
I’ve been meaning to catch up on the blog. I’ve been shooting and traveling non-stop until today (well…with the exception of Mother’s Day) and I’m so ready to share!
Jen and John are good friends and our local Vets in Marion, NC. Jen asked me if I would take some pics of Linen with her Pony in a kind of “Boho” theme. I was completely on board and excited to shoot! Needless to say, the photographs below are some of my favorites from an awesome session. Enjoy!!!
